Thanks for following this. After looking at the trailer, what do you think the chances of a general release in Taiwan are? I was surprised at the actors I recognized. I am still hopeful it gets released worldwide.

Hey David! Small world. After I left Taiwan, I moved back to New York and now I work for the Asian American International Film Festival. I don’t get much time to go out shooting photos anymore, but organizing this fest is crazy fun. Formosa Betrayed is real cool. This is a world premiere and last I checked, is already sold out! Anyways, the movie should be picking up a distributor shortly after the festival, and be getting some kind of release within a year, I’m guessing.

Man, show in Taiwan! It’s Dawson! He must have a market here.

Tom, I am sure the movie will attract a lot of interest in Taiwan and be released here. It will probably also create a little controversy, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Fili, I was impressed too.

Bobby, nice to hear from you. It sounds like you have a great job.

Passing By, I assume you’re referring to actor James Van Der Beek from Dawson’s Creek who is the star of Formosa Betrayed. I don’t know if the TV show is popular in Taiwan.
