I just updated the post with the news that Freddy Lim has joined Frank Hsieh's campaign team.

Corey, I would be interested to know about other Taiwanese bands promoting a similar message overseas or even in Taiwan.

Boyd, these Taiwanese artists are all too willing to express their love for Taiwan Beer. You're right, it's all about dollars for them.

FiLi, Chthonic's music is more powerful than <a href="http://blog.taiwan-guide.org/2007/08/taiwan-promotional-videos/" rel="nofollow">a whale in a fishbowl</a> ;)

Most Taiwanese artists don't want to bite the hand that feeds them -- 1.3 billion Mainlanders 90% of whom are as convinced Taiwan is an inseparable part of China and claim they are willing to fight and die for the recovery of Taiwan. Not saying I agree with the Mainlanders, but that is how they feel.

I've always admired 閃靈 (ChthoniC) for their position in helping spread the message of Taiwan...I hope that other musicians in Taiwan can help spread their music to the US and, in turn, the problems Taiwan faces (and that the world faces by excluding them from organizations like WHO).
