Little blue truck adventures

I moved from Banqiao to Xindian this week. I am looking forward to exploring my new neighborhood. It certainly a lot greener and quieter than my old one. The close proximity to Wulai and the riverside bike path will also mean lots more biking and hiking opportunities. My new place even has a garden, something I never expected in Taipei.
In many ways the move marks the closing of one chapter in my Taiwan life and the beginning of a new one. Most of the time I have been in Taiwan I have lived and worked in Banqiao and Tucheng. There will also be a few more changes in my life in the next month or so. I will be taking a break in Siam (aka Thailand) next week. I will write more about my new plans when I get back.
The little blue truck pictured above transported some furniture I bought in Xiamen Street (廈門街). It is near the Guting MRT Station in Taipei. I recommend a visit to this street if you are looking for any second-hand furniture. The shops can also arrange delivery at your convenience.
Update: I have added a new article on finding a place to stay at Taiwanderful.

It’s funny, because my wife and I are moving into a place in Banqiao at the end of June!
